The Village Methodist Chapel

The chapel closed at the end of 2014 after 148 years of worship.

It was one of two Methodist chapels built in 1866, the other being the Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Poverty Street, which closed and was sold off in its centenary year of 1966..

This remaining Primitive Methodist chapel has managed to keep going for longer, but was sadly closed only two years short of its 150th anniversary.

Coverdale Indoor Bowls Club

Meetings are held in Coverdale Memorial Hall on Tuesdays at 7.30pm

Guests and visitors and new members welcome.

Light refreshments included.

Coverdale Book Club

Meetings are held monthly at 11.00am on Tuesdays at The Foresters’ Arms in Carlton.

This is followed by a pub lunch for those who wish to stay.
