The Village Methodist Chapel
There will be no more services in this chapel as it closed at the end of 2014 after 148 years of worship.
It is now up for sale, at first for local community use, and offers are invited in the region of £12,000.
Any enquiries should be made to Kevin Pellett,
NY Dales Methodist Circuit Association,
It was one of two Methodist chapels built in 1866, the other being the Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Poverty Street, which closed and was sold off in its centenary year of 1966..
This remaining Primitive Methodist chapel has managed to keep going for longer, but has sadly closed only two years short of its 150th anniversary.
